I just plain forgot to write my rule for the day yesterday….so what does that mean?
No more procrastinating on things I know I need to do. If I do that one of two things happen:
- I end waking up in the middle of the night realizing that I forgot to do them. I get up and go do that thing and lose sleep.
- I don’t remember that I forgot to do the thing. Someone reminds me the next day, and I have to deal with the fallout of dropping the ball.
Obviously #1 is far more preferrable. You know what’s way better? Not having either of those things happen, because I get things done on time always. Then again, in this case it was a blog that I am writing to cultivate a daily discipline. So, the only person I really have to let down is myself.
It’s kind of a lower priority for the next few days than some other things I have going on right now. Like, my podcast launch. BUT, it still needed to be recorded as a rule. I’ve fallen back on procrastination as a modus operandi several times in my life, and it’s never a great period to go through.
That being said, I’m going to stop procrastinating on going back to sleep. Night.
